Q. What happens with killed ants? Are they dead for good or can they be revived by spending food?
A. Killed ants are returned to your ant stockpile and can be repurchased when the queen eats food.
Q. What function have the special park fields (those without letter/number)? Can ants enter them and what about the fountain field? Can it be entered, too?
A. The 6 flower squares on the board are for the initial starting stacks of food. Once depleted these are normal spaces for ants to move onto. The fountain space cannot be entered unless you wish to drown the poor ant who dares to try.
Q. What, if a bug is killed: Will it turn into 1 food or into as much as its counter shows?
A. When a living bug appears on the board it should be made of the number of food chips shown on the card with the correct bug head placed on top. To kill the bug a serge-ant must roll and attack equal or higher to this value to take off the head and claim the food pile. Failed attacks against a living bug don't harm your serge-ant but he must return to the last available space he came from where his turn ends.
Q. What does the special rule for the 1st turn mean? The way I understand it, no ant would be allowed to leave the nest in the 1st turn. Is that so...?
A. The special rule for the first turn is mainly for 4, 5 and 6 player games and means you cannot move any of your ants into the spaces directly outside any opponent's nest during the first round.
Q. Do Park life cards like "Big Lizard" affect only one park space (the one in the middle), all spaces around the one in the middle or every space shown?
A. The cards like the Bird Attack and Big Lizard affect the park space chosen plus all the spaces directly around it.
Q. Does the Park life card "Heat wave" affect the whole playing field, including the nests?
A. The heat wave and rain storm cards affect all normal food stacks out in the park. Nest food is safe and living bugs are still alive so are also not affected.
Q. Can I move on a supply-line that is not connected to the hive ?
A. Yes, you can move up and down any supply line that is created by your peas-ant(s). Each peas-ant acts as a piece of supply line. It is only to transport food back to the nest that your peas-ant supply line must be connected to the nest.
Q. Did I understand right, that a Serge-ant can fight as long he wins and has a target adjacent? Can he move two spaces again to attack?
A. A serge-ant must have the movement available to reach a space in order to attack it. When attacking an enemy ant your serge-ant moves onto the defender's space. If a serge-ant wins an attack they may continue to attack any other space directly next to one they currently occupy.
